Driver compensation claims

Whiplash claims

Whiplash in a very common injury suffered as a result of road accidents. It occurs when thecontact us head suffered an unexpected jolt caused by an impact with another vehicle. The head is thrown backwards at the same time as the body is propelled forwards. This causes injury to the neck muscles and joints. Other areas of the body can also be affected.

The results of whiplash can be symptoms such as head, neck and shoulder pain, headaches, ringing in the ears and pins and needles in the arms. These symptoms may be short lived or, in severe cases, they may be ongoing.

Passenger compensation claims

If you were injured whilst passenger in a vehicle, you are entitled to make a claim for compensation. You may have been in a friend or family member’s car, a bus, taxi, work vehicle or even a motorcycle.

Drivers and other road users have a duty of care to ensure the safety of passengers and in the vast majority of cases passengers will be an innocent party in the accident.

If you were injured whilst in a friend or family member’s vehicle it is important to remember that they will not be the ones who pay you the compensation, it will be their insurance company. Some people are not keen to make a claim because they have a close relationship to the driver but that is after all what they pay their insurance premiums for.
